Hot Buttered Rum is the perfect thing to serve at a winter party. It also makes your house smell like apples and cinnamon. Is there a more welcoming aroma?
- 1 gallon Apple Cider
- 2 whole Cinnamon Sticks
- 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- ⅓ cups Brown Sugar
- 18 ounces, fluid Spiced Rum, Or 1 Shot (1 1/2 Fl. Oz.) Per Serving
Pour the apple cider into a large pot, add the cinnamon sticks, butter, and brown sugar. Bring to a light boil, reduce heat and allow to simmer for at least 30 minutes. Ladle the cider into mugs and top off with a shot of rum. Stir to combine.
This can also be made in a slow cooker on low.
